Video of a live performance: “Boom Boom Boom,” first time we ever did it with sax. Not bad. Recorded at Silvies in April, on Chicago’s north side with a Zoom mini-recorder. Dorothy McDaniel on bass, Alpha Stewart on percussion, John Temmerman on sax, and me on guitar.
The song’s also on our Live at Custer Street album. I’ve mentioned elsewhere that the sound on the videos recorded that night compares surpassingly well to that on the album, which was recorded on Pro Tools with each instrument on a separate track, allowing for tweaks to the EQ and levels. To compare the versions, click on the icon below and hear the audio from the album.

Recorded at Custer Street Fair in Evanston, Illinois.
